I love Christmas music... especially during this time of year. It really puts you into the right holiday mood. My girlfriend's brother starts listening to it during the summer. Haha. I can't do that - I have to be somewhat "cold" and wearing winter clothes when I listen to it; it's just part of the atmosphere. There is a radio station in the bay area that has been playing Christmas music since early November. I'm dialed into it for most of my time in the car.
There have been so many different artists coming out with their own versions of good ol' Christmas tunes over the years. Some of their renditions are great... others... not so great. Some of my favorite interpretations come from a group called the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They play Christmas tunes and classical music with a twist: lots of shrieking electric guitars.
Kimmy and I saw them at one of their shows last night in Cupertino. They really rocked the place. It was so awesome! Their music sounds really good on CD, but as Kimmy pointed out, they sound even better in person! If you ever get a chance to go see them, please do. It's well worth it.
